It races right-side up, upside-down, and any other smooth surface, all with outstanding scale speed and performance. Working headlights act as charge level indicators, so you know when it's time to recharge. Car comes with two power settings - floor mode with venture fan off, and suction mode for vertical and upside-down action. Includes four different frequencies so you can race against your friends. As a car nut, I love it.
My grandson loves running it up and down the walls. It works just liek a real race car except it uses a fan instead of wings to cling to the road and, for the toy, the walls.

I bought this for my son and he loves it - so do the other kids. I'm lucky that we have a big sliding glass door for them to us. Doesn't seem to mark up the walls but the glass is probably a safer option. It is small, fast and pretty cheap. Good fun toy. Not sure how long it will last but probably longer than the attention span of the recipient.
